Kusch+Co has gained over 85 years of experience in developing and manufacturing market-oriented seating and interior designs.
History
Kusch+Co was established in the town of Hallenberg in 1939 by Ernst Kusch.
Tucked away in a valley, surrounded by forests that provided the materials for Kusch+Co's first products, Hallenberg was the company's birthplace. It was here that Kusch+Co grew and was passed down from father to son through generations. Over the years, the products made here have been shaping the way we sit.

Right from the start, Ernst Kusch pursued the long-term goal to assume an entrepreneurial as well as corporate responsibility towards the customers, partners, staff members and the environment.
“Quality is irreplaceable” – this guiding principle, coined by the company’s founder Ernst Kusch, has become deeply rooted in our corporate policy.
Committed to his father’s values and principles, Dieter Kusch joined the General Management in 1963, and became the CEO only six years later.
Started as a family business, Kusch+Co was growing bigger. Programm 100 – our “original” chair was the first industrially produced chair by our company.
This wooden product boasted a well-thought-out design and was a true best-seller. However, neither the company’s founder, Ernst Kusch, nor his successors relied on it. Ever since, they have been tirelessly developing new seating series, and reinventing the way we sit.
Kusch+Co ultimate goal since the beginning was to design aesthetically appealing as well as highly functional, technically sophisticated seating and table series that can be tailored to personal and individual requirements.

Design is so much more to us than mere aesthetics: a product reaches perfection through the professional interplay of craftsmanship and a creative design process.

Like us, the designers we work with perceive the design as a competence. They believe that design should serve people and improve their everyday. When designing furniture solutions for public spaces, airports, hospitals etc. we not only want to meet strict requirements of furniture pieces dedicated for such spaces, but first and foremost elevate people’s experience.

Continuous development
As the modern world developed, Kusch+Co's growth accelerated. To carry on the tradition-steeped family philosophy and to become a globally operating company, Kusch+Co joined Nowy Styl, the 3rd biggest office and public spaces furniture manufacturer in Europe.
Since 2019 Nowy Styl, a parent company of Kusch+Co, ensures the continuous development of Kusch+Co, including investments in new products, showrooms, presence at world-class events, and expansion of the sales network, to name just a few.

Now, more than 85 years after the company was founded, Kusch+Co products can be found in thousands of public spaces worldwide, including airports, hospitals, clinics, offices, conference centres, hotels, restaurants and art galleries.
